Your agent
How Claude Code, Hermes, and other terminal agents shop with yaaa: the skills, what your agent can and can’t do, and MCP.
The skills
yaaa init installs two skills into each terminal agent it finds (Claude Code in ~/.claude/skills, Hermes in ~/.hermes/skills):
- yaaa-buyer: buys. It quotes first, stays within your limits, and gives you the confirm link.
- yaaa-advisor: recommends. It turns “running shoes for flat feet under $150” into up to three options, each with why it fits, and hands off to yaaa-buyer. It never buys.
For another agent, install them into its skills folder with yaaa init --skills-dir <path>. yaaa update keeps them up to date.
What your agent does
- Runs the same
yaaacommands you can, with--jsonso it reads exact results. - Asks before going over your limits, and before creating a price watch or restock.
- Gives you every confirm link, word for word. It never opens one or pays: you do, in the store’s checkout.
- Recommends only from what the stores list (features, ratings, prices), never from invented reviews.
Try asking: “find me running shoes for flat feet under $150”, “watch the Tree Runners and buy when they’re under $90”, or “reorder my coffee beans on the 1st of every month”.
Tool calls (MCP)
yaaa mcpFor agents that prefer tool calls to a shell: serves yaaa’s operations over the Model Context Protocol (stdio), with the same inputs, results, and rules as the commands. Add it to your agent as an MCP server that runs yaaa mcp.
For agent builders
The agent guide (agent.md) has the rules agents follow, the JSON shapes, exit codes, and events. llms.txt indexes it for answer engines.
